Qualified, dedicated, responsible, safety oriented, and fun loving describe the leaders who will contribute to your child's experience at Otterdale. All staff are chosen for their leadership ability, skill in caring for children and excellence in instructing camp activities. Counsellors are 18 years of age or older, many are former campers who share the common interest of working with young people.

Each cabin group of 10 campers has three staff members. The team of three consists of two junior staff members and a more experienced counsellor between the ages of 18 and 22. In addition to their counselling duties the staff also instruct at least two different activities each day.
